「無良知的科學等同於靈魂的死亡」 - 蒙田
“Science without conscience is but the death of the soul”這句話是從16世紀哲學家蒙田的散文集中節錄出來的。在這篇散文中，蒙田指出科學的研發與致用，必須以良知為出發點，進而訴諸人文的關懷。如果只知道汲取利益，破壞生態，將會造成如卓別林的摩登時代中荒謬滑稽現代生活景象。要發展科學，應同時保持良知，在新穎便利與造成破壞、污染間多方思考，力求真正有益地球，造福人群。
