- 本學系系學會於115年9月21日（星期一）舉辦期初系大會，隨著新學期的展開，大一新鮮人正式加入生物系大家庭，為了讓同學清楚了解系學會的運作情形，
特別公開並說明了本學期的預算編列與財務狀況，秉持財務透明化原則，讓學弟妹們能更加安心。現場同時備有精緻餐點供大家享用，同學們在輕鬆溫馨的氛圍中歡聚交流，為新學期拉開了充滿活力與凝聚力的序幕！
●系學會《教師節活動》
- 本學系系學會於115年9月24日（星期四）因應一年一度的教師節，學會成員們貼心送上精心製作的卡片、訂製的禮物及小蛋糕感謝每位師長，讓老師們感受到教師節的溫暖。
●新生迎新宿營《科物對家又連粧來輸音》
- 本學系於115年10月2日至10月4日與本校生命科學院學士班、香粧品學系、國立中山大學音樂學系聯合舉辦新生迎新宿營。為期三天的活動精彩緊湊，第一天由破冰遊戲「三角帽綾波舞」、「間諜臥底」、「袋鼠蹦蹦蹦」等趣味互動拉開序幕，讓來自不同學系的的新生迅速打破陌生隔閡；緊接著登場的「絕命賭師」校園探索，考驗小隊間的策略思考與團隊合作，爭取最高榮譽。第二天更安排了考驗默契與反應的「大地遊戲」與充滿歡笑涼意的「水大地」水上闖關，將現場熱烈氣氛推向高潮。第三天壓軸登場的「大逃殺」賞金爭奪戰，展現了新生們極佳的體能與智謀攻防。本次四系聯合迎新宿營不僅豐富了新生入學的精彩回億，更成功促進跨系跨校間的深厚情誼與交流。
●本學系蘇詠超教授於115年10月1日至10月5日帶領高醫那瑪夏USR團隊，與菲律賓大學洛斯巴尼奧斯分校（UPLB）一同前往訪問阿帕堯州立學院（Apayao State College），建立生物多樣性研究合作夥伴關係。
●2026年菲律賓臺灣高等教育展
- 本學系系主任劉佩芬教授於115年10月14日至10月16日假菲律賓馬尼拉參加「2026年菲律賓臺灣高等教育展」，活動主要目的為推動臺菲雙邊高等教育交流，以行銷臺灣高教優勢，連結臺灣與菲律賓之教育資源並與世界接軌。
●2026年緬甸臺灣高等教育展
- 本學系黃斌副教授於115年10月16日至10月17日假緬甸仰光參加「2026年緬甸臺灣高等教育展」，活動主要目的為向緬甸師生推廣臺灣高教環境、介紹多元科系與學習資源，並拓展雙邊教育合作交流與開拓新南向生源。本學系系主任劉佩芬教授於115年10月14日至10月16日假菲律賓馬尼拉參加「2026年菲律賓臺灣高等教育展」，活動主要目的為推動臺菲雙邊高等教育交流，以行銷臺灣高教優勢，連結臺灣與菲律賓之教育資源並與世界接軌。
●「當生物遇上 EMI：跨越語言的科學對話」系列交流講座
- 本學系115年10月15日（星期四）中午12:00假第一教學大樓N935會議室舉辦「當生物遇上 EMI：跨越語言的科學對話」系列交流講座，邀請國立中山大學生物科學系吳長益特聘教授蒞臨演講，講題為「生物科學的EMI實踐（Teaching genes in English：Navigating Core Biology in an EMI classroom）」。演講過程中，吳老師以生動活潑的方式探討EMI的核心概念，現場師生互動熱絡，令與會的師生獲益良多。

- 本學系系學會於115年9月6日於FUN4桌遊餐廳－高醫店舉辦迎新茶會，邀請系上在學學生共同參與。活動透過輕鬆有趣的桌遊互動，讓新生在遊戲中認識學長姐與同學，打破初次見面的陌生感並拉近新生間關係,讓新生們獲得歸屬感,結交更多朋友,減少因新環境造成的不適應。

- 本次活動透過破冰遊戲及直屬學長姐配對抽選，協助大一新生認識系上學長姐，拉近彼此距離。活動最後安排交流時間，讓新生與直屬學長姐自由聊天、互相熟悉並交換聯絡方式，建立良好的互動關係，使新生在未來課業學習或適應大學生活遇到困難時，能及時向直屬學長姐請益與尋求協助，增進系上跨年級的交流與情誼。

●生技宿營-宿宿宿宿ㄆnova 115.10.03-04 地點：走馬瀨農場（臺南市大內區二溪里其子瓦60號）
- 本次迎新宿營由大二、大三學長姐共同參與活動規劃與籌備，透過團隊合作，為大一新生安排豐富多元的迎新活動。活動內容包含大地遊戲、闖關挑戰及分組烤肉野炊等，讓新生在親近自然的環境中彼此交流、增進情誼，並透過團隊任務與野炊體驗，培養溝通協調、互助合作及團隊精神，同時促進不同年級學生之間的互動與凝聚力。
●115.10.07「德國留學諮詢及臨床試驗職涯工作坊」地點：第一教學大樓9樓N935會議室
- 本系於115年10月7日(三)中午12時至13時於第一教學大樓9樓N943會議室舉辦「臨床研究試驗職涯工作坊」，由本學系邱偉華老師邀請任職於全球最大臨床研究組織 (Clinical Research Organization) IQVIA 全球臨床試驗經理 (Global Clinical Trial Manager)李俊蔚博士至本學系進行德國留學諮詢及臨床試驗職涯工作坊，幫助學生提早了解臨床試驗產業發展現況，並進行德國留學職涯諮詢及求學經驗分享，提早佈局未來職業生涯。

- 本系於115年10月7日(三)下午13：10於本校第一教學大樓N109教室舉辦專題演講，邀請德國IQVIA 全球臨床試驗經理 (Global Clinical Trial Manager)李俊蔚博士至本學系進行專題演講，講題：「走出實驗室，除了研究還能做什麼？製藥與臨床研究職涯第一步 (From the Lab to Industry: Your Career Guide to Pharma and Clinical Research)」。
====●115.10.16「傑出校友講座暨課程地圖及微學分學程說會」 地點：勵學大樓A3教室 ====
- 本學系於115年10月16日（星期五）下午14:00至17:00舉辦「傑出校友講座暨課程地圖及微學分學程說明會」，特別邀請本系BT99級傑出校友何愷文博士蒞臨分享。何博士目前任職於高雄醫學大學新藥開發暨價創研究中心，擔任助理研究員，透過自身求學歷程、專業養成及職涯發展經驗，與學弟妹分享生物科技專業的多元發展方向，以及新藥開發與生技產業的實務經驗，協助學生了解學術研究與產業應用之間的連結，拓展專業視野，並及早探索未來升學與就業方向。
接續於16:00舉辦「課程地圖及微學分學程說明會」，針對大一新生介紹本系課程規劃、核心能力培養、選課原則及微學分學程相關資訊，協助學生認識各階段課程安排與學習重點，了解跨領域學習及自主規劃學習歷程的機會。透過傑出校友經驗分享與課程制度說明相互結合，期望引導新生及早建立大學學習目標，善用校內學習資源，規劃符合個人興趣與職涯發展方向的學習藍圖，為未來升學及就業奠定良好基礎。

●高醫大生命科學院於菲律賓理工大學（PUP）參加「2026臺灣教育展」生物科技領域詢問熱烈 KMU College of Life Science at the 2026 Taiwan Education Fair:Strong Interest in Biotechnology and Plant Biology at PUP
- 本校生命科學院生物科技學系廖偉廷主任與生物醫學暨環境生物學系劉佩芬主任，於115年10月16日代表本校，參加於菲律賓馬尼拉Polytechnic University of the Philippines（菲律賓理工大學，PUP）舉辦之「2026臺灣教育展」（2026 Taiwan Education Fair in the Philippines）。本場由Professor Cheng-Hsin Chuang致開幕詞，PUP國際事務處（International Relations Office）Chief of Special Internationalization Projects Dr. Christopher F. Sasot致歡迎詞，本校與國立中山大學、慈濟大學、國立清華大學、國立臺灣大學及國立暨南國際大學共同參與。
活動下午於Bonifacio Hall舉行說明會，現場座無虛席。廖主任介紹本校研究資源、國際排名、及前瞻計畫研究成果，並說明生命科學院以英語授課的碩、博士班、國科會研究生獎學金（NSTC-GRF，每月新臺幣4萬元，最長3年）、本校國際生獎學金，以及TEEP@KMULF生命科學國際實習計畫。簡報也介紹本院菲籍校友Dr. Rovelyn P. Gallego，她在本校取得博士學位後，返回菲律賓Caraga State University任教。
說明會後，各校於Hernandez & Jacinto Halls設置攤位，本校攤位前擠滿前來諮詢的學生。PUP學生原以理工及應用科學背景為主，但對生物科技（免疫、天然藥物篩選）及植物生物學的興趣超乎預期，許多學生詢問相關研究主題、TEEP實習及獎學金。兩位主任一一說明本院的研究特色，並鼓勵學生先透過TEEP短期實習來校體驗研究環境，再銜接碩、博士班。當日本校及各學院、系所文宣108份全數發送完畢。
PUP目前尚非本校姊妹校。本次與PUP國際事務處建立聯繫，未來將持續追蹤有意願的學生，並洽談學術合作，結合菲律賓豐富的植物資源與本校天然藥物篩選研究，深化高醫在菲律賓的招生與國際合作。
On October 16, 2026, Professor Wei-Ting Liao, Chair of the Department of Biotechnology, and Professor Pei-Feng Liu, Chair of the Department of Biomedical Science and Environmental Biology, represented Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) at the 2026 Taiwan Education Fair session held at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) in Manila. Professor Cheng-Hsin Chuang gave the opening remarks, and Dr. Christopher F. Sasot, Chief of Special Internationalization Projects at PUP's International Relations Office, welcomed the delegation, which also included National Sun Yat-sen University, Tzu Chi University, National Tsing Hua University, National Taiwan University and National Chi Nan University.
The information session in Bonifacio Hall drew a full house. Professor Liao introduced KMU's four affiliated hospitals and their clinical teaching and research resources, the university's international rankings, and its 44 faculty members named among the world's top 2% of scientists. He also presented the College of Life Science's English-taught master's and Ph.D. programs, the NSTC Graduate Research Fellowship (NT$40,000 per month for up to three years), KMU scholarships for international students, and the TEEP@KMULF life science internship program. The talk featured alumna Dr. Rovelyn P. Gallego, who earned her Ph.D. at KMU and now teaches biology at Caraga State University in the Philippines.
At the university booths in Hernandez and Jacinto Halls that followed, students crowded around the KMU table. Although most PUP students come from engineering and applied science, interest in biotechnology (immunology and natural-product drug screening) and plant biology was higher than expected. Many students asked about research topics, TEEP internships and scholarships, and the two chairs encouraged them to start with a short TEEP internship at KMU before moving on to a master's or Ph.D. program. All 108 brochures from KMU and its colleges and departments were handed out that day.
PUP is not yet a KMU partner university. Building on the new contact with PUP's International Relations Office, KMU plans to follow up with interested students and explore academic collaboration, including research that links the Philippines' rich plant resources with KMU's natural-product drug screening.
●高醫大生命科學院赴菲律賓大學迪里曼校區（UP Diliman）參加「2026臺灣教育展」研究所與TEEP實習詢問踴躍 KMU College of Life Science at the 2026 Taiwan Education Fair:Strong Interest in Graduate Study and TEEP Internships at UP Diliman
- 本校生命科學院生物科技學系廖偉廷主任與生物醫學暨環境生物學系劉佩芬主任，於115年10月15日代表本校，參加於University of the Philippines Diliman（菲律賓大學迪里曼校區，UPD）舉辦之「2026臺灣教育展」（2026 Taiwan Education Fair in the Philippines）。活動於National Institute of Geological Sciences視聽室舉行，由Ms. Via Dellomas主持，Professor Cheng-Hsin Chuang致開幕詞，UPD Academic and Administrative Staff Mobility Section之Dr. Neil Martial R. Santillan致歡迎詞。本校與國立清華大學、國立臺灣大學、國立暨南國際大學及國立中山大學共同參與，並由DOST-PCHRD S&T Fellow Dr. Phoebe Nicole Perez進行留臺校友分享。會中亦展示Erik Paolo Capistrano於10月10日臺灣國慶日發表的臉書貼文：「臺灣國慶日快樂！我說過一次，現在再說一遍：你永遠都是我的第二個家。你連續四年對我很好，而且每次我有機會去看望你時，你依然對我很好。」這段真摯的文字道出許多菲律賓學子對臺灣的情感，令現場聽眾動容。
UPD為菲律賓旗艦研究型大學。兩位主任在說明會中介紹本校4家附設醫院的臨床教學與研究資源、國際排名、48位教師入選全球前2%頂尖科學家等辦學成果，並以研究特色為主軸，說明生物科技學系的臨床導向研究與多體學平台、生物醫學暨環境生物學系的各研究室，以及以英語授課的碩、博士班、國科會研究生獎學金（NSTC-GRF，每月新臺幣4萬元，最長3年）與TEEP@KMULF生命科學國際實習計畫。本場活動由UP Diliman國際連結辦公室（Office of International Linkages Diliman – OVCAA）於臉書同步直播，累計觀看達2,200次，並獲20個心情回應、11則留言及8次分享，有效擴大本校在菲律賓的能見度。
說明會後的攤位諮詢中，學生踴躍詢問研究所就讀、獎學金及TEEP實習，對TEEP短期實習的興趣尤其濃厚。其中兩位學生當場與院長深入討論，選定質譜（mass spectrometry）相關研究主題，有意來校進修，本校將持續追蹤後續申請。
本校已於2016年與University of the Philippines System簽署合作備忘錄，本院亦與同屬UP體系的UPLB、UPOU持續交流。本次與UPD建立聯繫後，將在既有合作基礎上推動UPD學生參加TEEP實習、來校攻讀研究所及教師交流，深化高醫與菲律賓大學的合作。
On October 15, 2026, Professor Wei-Ting Liao, Chair of the Department of Biotechnology, and Professor Pei-Feng Liu, Chair of the Department of Biomedical Science and Environmental Biology, represented Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) at the 2026 Taiwan Education Fair session held at the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD). The event took place in the audio-visual room of the National Institute of Geological Sciences. Ms. Via Dellomas hosted, Professor Cheng-Hsin Chuang gave the opening remarks, and Dr. Neil Martial R. Santillan of UPD's Academic and Administrative Staff Mobility Section welcomed the delegation, which also included National Tsing Hua University, National Taiwan University, National Chi Nan University and National Sun Yat-sen University. Dr. Phoebe Nicole Perez, an S&T Fellow at DOST-PCHRD, shared her experience as an alumna of a Taiwanese university. The session also showed a Facebook post that Erik Paolo Capistrano wrote on Taiwan's National Day, October 10: “Happy National Day, Taiwan! I've said it once, and I'll say it again: You will always be my second home. You've been good to me for four straight years, and you still continue to be good to me every time I get a chance to visit you.” His words captured how many Filipino students feel about Taiwan and moved the audience.
UPD is the flagship research university of the Philippines, so the two chairs centered their presentation on research. They introduced KMU's four affiliated hospitals, its international rankings and its 48 faculty members named among the world's top 2% of scientists, then presented the clinically oriented research and multi-omics platform of the Department of Biotechnology, the laboratories of the Department of Biomedical Science and Environmental Biology, the College's English-taught master's and Ph.D. programs, the NSTC Graduate Research Fellowship (NT$40,000 per month for up to three years), and the TEEP@KMULF life science internship program. The Office of International Linkages Diliman – OVCAA livestreamed the session on Facebook, where it drew about 2,200 views, 20 reactions, 11 comments and 8 shares, extending KMU's visibility well beyond the room.
At the consultation booths that followed, students asked many questions about graduate study, scholarships and TEEP internships, with especially strong interest in short-term TEEP placements. Two students discussed their plans with the Dean on site and chose mass spectrometry research topics for further study at KMU, and KMU will follow up on their applications. All 108 brochures from KMU and its colleges and departments were handed out that day.
KMU signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of the Philippines System in 2016, and the College continues to work with UP Los Baños and UP Open University. Building on this foundation, KMU plans to welcome UPD students through TEEP internships and graduate programs and to expand faculty exchange with the University of the Philippines.
●高醫大生命科學院赴遠東大學醫學院（FEU-NRMF）參加「2026臺灣教育展」醫學生關注臨床見習 現場諮詢踴躍 KMU College of Life Science at the 2026 Taiwan Education Fair:Medical Students Show Strong Interest in Clinical Training at FEU-NRMF
- 本校生命科學院生物科技學系廖偉廷主任與生物醫學暨環境生物學系劉佩芬主任，於115年10月14日代表本校，參加於Far Eastern University – Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation（遠東大學醫學院，FEU-NRMF）舉辦之「2026臺灣教育展」（2026 Taiwan Education Fair in the Philippines），為本次菲律賓巡迴說明會的首場。活動於Institute of Medicine Building五樓Dr. Ricardo L. Alfonso Hall舉行，由醫學院副院長Dr. Mari-Ann B. Bringas主持，Professor Cheng-Hsin Chuang致開幕詞，醫學院院長Dr. Pio T. Esguerra II致歡迎詞。本校與中山醫學大學、國立中山大學共同參與，並由國立中山大學生醫所博士生Jhoanna Jane Layos以線上方式進行校友分享。
FEU-NRMF為醫學院，現場聽眾以醫學、藥學等醫療相關科系學生為主，座無虛席。廖主任在說明會中介紹本校4家附設醫院的臨床教學與研究資源、國際排名，以及48位教師入選全球前2%頂尖科學家等辦學成果，並說明生命科學院以英語授課的碩、博士班、國科會研究生獎學金（NSTC-GRF，每月新臺幣4萬元，最長3年）與TEEP@KMULF生命科學國際實習計畫。
綜合座談及攤位諮詢時，學生最關心國際生能否到本校附設醫院臨床見習，以及申請資格、語言要求與實習期間等問題。兩位主任說明，本校附設醫院設有國際醫學生短期臨床見習制度，以英語或華語進行，目前受理本校姊妹校推薦之醫學生；有志投入醫學研究的學生，也可就讀本校以英語授課的研究所，與附設醫院醫師合作進行臨床導向研究，或先透過TEEP實習來校體驗。攤位前擠滿前來諮詢的學生，當日本校及各學院、系所文宣108份全數發送完畢。
會後，兩位主任與FEU-NRMF醫學院院長Dr. Pio T. Esguerra II、副院長Dr. Mari-Ann B. Bringas會談，並互贈紀念品。FEU-NRMF目前尚非本校姊妹校，兩校將以醫學生臨床見習交流及研究生招生為方向，由兩位主任將合作議題帶回本校研議，期能開啟高醫與菲律賓醫學院的交流新頁。
On October 14, 2026, Professor Wei-Ting Liao, Chair of the Department of Biotechnology, and Professor Pei-Feng Liu, Chair of the Department of Biomedical Science and Environmental Biology, represented Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) at the 2026 Taiwan Education Fair session held at Far Eastern University – Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF), the first stop of the delegation's tour of Metro Manila. The event took place in Dr. Ricardo L. Alfonso Hall on the fifth floor of the Institute of Medicine Building. Vice Dean Dr. Mari-Ann B. Bringas hosted, Professor Cheng-Hsin Chuang gave the opening remarks, and Dean Dr. Pio T. Esguerra II welcomed the delegation, which also included Chung Shan Medical University and National Sun Yat-sen University. Jhoanna Jane Layos, a Ph.D. student at National Sun Yat-sen University's Institute of Biomedical Sciences, joined remotely to share her experience as an international student in Taiwan.
FEU-NRMF is a medical school, and the hall was filled with students from medicine, pharmacy and other health programs. Professor Liao introduced KMU's four affiliated hospitals and their clinical teaching and research resources, the university's international rankings, and its 48 faculty members named among the world's top 2% of scientists. He also presented the College of Life Science's English-taught master's and Ph.D. programs, the NSTC Graduate Research Fellowship (NT$40,000 per month for up to three years), and the TEEP@KMULF life science internship program.
During the panel Q&A and at the booths, students were most interested in whether international students can do clinical clerkships at KMU's affiliated hospitals, and asked about eligibility, language requirements and program length. The two chairs explained that KMU Hospital runs a short-term clinical elective for international medical students, taught in English or Mandarin and currently open to students nominated by KMU partner universities. Students who want to pursue medical research can also join KMU's English-taught graduate programs and work with hospital physicians on clinically oriented research, or start with a TEEP internship. Students crowded around the KMU booth, and all 108 brochures from KMU and its colleges and departments were handed out that day.
After the event, the two chairs met with Dean Dr. Pio T. Esguerra II and Vice Dean Dr. Mari-Ann B. Bringas and exchanged gifts. FEU-NRMF is not yet a KMU partner university. The chairs will bring possible collaboration on clinical clerkship exchange and graduate recruitment back to KMU for discussion, with the hope of opening a new chapter of exchange between KMU and medical schools in the Philippines.
